Volunteer Dinner
THANK YOU!!! Girl Scouts is a success because of YOU! Your support, time and effort make the difference in lives of so many.
Tonight we celebrated our volunteers, including those with years of service. Years of service is awarded 1, 5, 10 and so forth.
New beginnings are exciting, sometimes scary and often come with challenges, but hopefully a lot of joy. We recognized Colleen Murphy, Laura Barker and Michelle Kogon as New Leaders with their compass key chains.
Friendships and connections that Girl Scouts brings to our lives will carry forward through the years and be a wellspring of happiness to pull from as your time of Leadership relinquishes to the girls you now mentor. Emily Dize, Amanda Davidson, Kenya Baine, Darlene Jameson and Heather Schultz were recognized with the Service Unit 7 award, Make New Frends Pin.
Men in Green Awards were given to our community partners for their efforts at clean-ups, Thinking Day and beyond, sharing their knowledge on environmental impacts and Leave No Trace principles gathered through Salisbury University, Scouting and SERVPRO. Thank you, Matthew & Cole Norman
Council Awards require nomination, endorsement and must pass through Council committee. The following 3 Council Service Unit Awards we given this evening:
Natalie Bloodsworth and Catherine Bedsworth received the Honey Roasted Award for their outstanding efforts with the Fall Product program. As two of the most successful Troops within the Service Unit at promoting the program, they have garnered respect from many.
Morgan Barr was honored with the Unforgettable Cookie Award for providing guidance, support and training to her Troop and their families beyond the minimum as a Cookie Champion. She has fearlessly averted cookie poster disasters and still is leading the cookie charge.
Congratulations to our new Delegates, Collen Murphy, Michelle Kogon and Laura Barker!
Finally, thank you to all those that could not join us. You were in our thoughts. May we see you at our next event!
